The Cross

To work on the effectiveness of your cross, work on the following points:

  • Eyes on target
  • Chin tucked
  • Fist clenched, arm engaged on contact
  • Non-punching hand by cheek protecting
  • Non-punching arm tucked, elbow covering ribs
  • Back arm fully extended
  • Back shoulder fully protracted
  • Full hip rotation
  • Lower body 60% weight transferred to front leg
  • Full core rotation, core engaged
